Jenn Mckinlay’s books are direct, charming, and funny, and I like her for finding good herring while creating intense stories. I recently read a contemporary romance novel, ‘About a Dog,’ and I began reading more books by Jenn McKinlay thanks to this booklist. She comes up with likable characters to make the stories enjoyable. Mel and Angie are my favorite characters, and I would love to hang out with them sometime. The mystery is fantastic and took me some time to figure it all out. ‘Happily Ever After’ is a great series where in the first novel, a single father is looking for a companion while a shy bookstore owner wants nothing else but to spread love to the world.
Jenny McKinlay writes cozy mysteries and romance novels. I want everyone that discovers her work for the first time to realize that she writes in two different genres.
When I first decided to buy her books a few months ago, I was searching for competent cozy mystery novels. Jenny’s Library Lover books satisfied my itch. But then I read the Paris novel, and it confused me.
I think the protagonist was a character called Chelsea. She was on a journey to rediscover her happiness or something along those lines. Anyway, I spent Chelsea’s entire trip waiting for someone to die and for Chelsea’s real adventure as an amateur sleuth to begin.
Imagine my surprise when the novel ended, and none of that had happened. Now, I make it a point to inform people who don’t know that Jenny McKinlay writes mysteries as well as romance.
Cozy mysteries that have a librarian as the main character. Sounds good to me!! Lindsay Morris has just started as the Library Director when her best friend becomes the prime suspect in a murder. Excellent reading!!
