Microsoft. Allen would go on to pursue other philanthropic, research, and business opportunities.
Gates and Paul Allen founded
Microsoft so that they could design software for personal computers which were becoming very popular. By the time they bought

Commodore and
Apple.
Q-DOS would then become the dominant software in the PC industry.
At just 30 years of age, Paul Allen would become a millionaire due to his stock in
Microsoft, which had become wildly successful. After he founded
Vulcan Ventures, his investment vehicle in 1986, he would invest in diverse companies from entertainment, media, financial services, communications, cable, and internet companies among many other industries.

Idea Man, which chronicles his impact on philanthropy, technology, music, science, sports, business, sports, and medicine.
In this work, he showed how he dealt with challenges in life and business and many lessons he learned from the failures and triumphs he experienced in addition to his compelling vision. The memoir also comes with some very new stories Allen had never told before from the founding of
Microsoft to critical discoveries in the frontiers of brain science.
