I wasn’t sure that I would like “New Girl in the Falls” by Elle Gray. I was thinking it might be for young teens as its series was called “Sweetwater Falls,” but it turned out to be something even an older person like me would like. There was a strong, smart main character named Spenser Song who was very interesting. While Spenser had a very impressive background as an FBI agent and seemed like someone who could handle anything, she did struggle with a tragic past. She tried to escape her demons by signing on to be sheriff of a small town. How she ends up proving herself to the community is what kept my interest. I look forward to continuing the series.
