Luke Arnold is primarily known as the actor who acted as Long John Silver in
Black Sails, the drama series that aired on

The actor spent much of his childhood in Adelaide with his family before they moved to Sydney. When he was eighteen, he got his first job in TV when he worked on

Like Stars in My Hands, a play that was performed at the Melbourne-based
La Mama Courthouse.
Throughout the 2000s, he had many roles in TV including recurring roles in
Winners & Loses and guest roles in
McLeod’s Daughters and
City Homicide. It was in 2014 that he got his biggest break when he was cast in
Black Sails, the popular series.

In 2020, Luke Arnold published his first work
The Last Smile in Sunder City. It is set in a world that has to redefine itself once it loses its magic. Witches, gnomes, vampires, elves, sirens, and all manner of paranormals are dealing with the loss of power, optimism, and immortality. The lead is Fetch Phillips who is contracted to locate an old vampire only to find that the task is not as easy as he thought it would be.
Dead Man in a Ditch was published soon after the debut and is yet again set in Sunder City. Fetch Phillips is trying hard to bring back magic but is not having much success. He is investigating a murder that is believed to have been caused by magic but as he goes after the killer, he finds some shady things the elite have been engaging in.
Luke Arnold published the third novel of the
Fetch Phillips series
One Foot in the Fade in 2022. At the opening of the novel, an angel falls into the street in downtown Sunder City leaving one hell of a mess. Fetch works alongside shadow secret societies, genies, and necromancers as they go into dingy dive bars and wild forests trying to resolve a mystery that is certain to leave their mark on both the world and the man's soul.
