Great news for fans of Karin Slaughter, as another one of her novels is getting an adaptation.
Karin is no stranger to adaptations. The novel Pieces of Her was adapted in 2022 for Netflix, as an 8-episode mini series which starred Toni Colette and Bella Heathcote.
Her very popular book series Will Trent was also adapted into a TV show beginning in 2023. Will Trent is still airing today, and stars Ramon Rodriguez playing the title character.
The next adaptation for Karin Slaughter will be based on her novel “The Good Daughter”, and a bonus for viewers as Karin Slaughter will be both producing the show, as well as writing every episode so it should stay true to the source material.
“The Good Daughter” is a standalone novel, although there is a related novella called “Last Breath” which serves as a prequel to “The Good Daughter” and is recommended to read first.

The adaptation of “The Good Daughter” will be a mini series adaptation, much like “Pieces of Her”. Both “Pieces of Her” and “The Good Daughter” are adapted by the production company Made Up Stories, who have also adapted Nine Perfect Strangers, The lost Flowers of Alice Hart and Roar.
