The Duke and I by Julia Quinn was the first foray into historical romance genre, and the genre became a favorite soon after. With the promise of a happily ever after ending being the most sweet there is. The novel, and Julia Quinn, are always going to hold a special place inside.

One of the many scenes in her books I love is in The Viscount Who Loved Me when Kate is frightened and Anthony does such a fantastic job of comforting her. This is probably where the true love between them began. Anthony and Kate are two of Julia’s finest characters.

Bridgerton was such a big deal on Netflix that I had to go out and buy the books for my wife. The show wasn’t quite my thing, but she loved it and this list of books by Julia Quinn helped me to get the whole series.

I am fascinated by authors whose lives are just as wild as those of the characters they write about. To be fair, Julia Quinn’s life isn’t necessarily wild. I am just amazed by the fact that she won $79,000 on The Weakest Link.

Even though I’ve seen people win those shows on multiple occasions, I’m still convinced that the games are rigged. I don’t think anyone’s supposed to win. And all the winners are plants, people the producers paid to infiltrate the games and act like real contestants.

When the game ends and the cameras stop rolling, the winners give all the money back. It sounds like a ridiculous conspiracy, but I have people in my social circle who keep repeating it, so I have to assume that it has some truth.

Then again, Julia Quinn is a successful author. I can’t see her participating in such a conspiracy. If winning The Weakest Link wasn’t enough, she also won at life when she wrote ‘Bridgerton,’ the books behind the incredibly popular Netflix show.
