Nora is a great writer, especially when it comes to the novel Legacy, a book that is bound to make you cry in different areas as you read through it.
Another excellent read is Midnight Bayou, which is highly enjoyable and easy to read. And the entire time I read The Collector, I just wished I had the same strength that Lila did. Nora adds some true facts about the actual lost imperial Faberge eggs to the book.
First picked up her work during a road trip some years ago, and was hooked from there. They are great escapism and make for some fun reading.
When I need to read some compelling love story, I have always turned to Nora Roberts as she never disappoints. Regardless of whether I am looking for romance with a slice of mystery, a cozy domestic tale, or a paranormal romance, I always know that Roberts will deliver in spades. Her novels are so addictive and once I read Midnight Bayou I was hooked. I have always loved Gothic romances but the creepy novel set in Louisiana was on a different level. Nora tells the story of the restoration of an old family mansion by Declan Fitzgerald though what makes this one of my most memorable reads is the fiery chemistry between the mysterious Angela Simone and Declan. The Garden Trilogy is also another of my favorite series by Roberts. It is a series chock full of strong female friendships, romance, ghosts and enough gardening porn to leave most gardening enthusiasts blushing.
I am a Nora Roberts fan, and anyone who has ever read her books knows the pleasant and easy-to-read stories she creates. She writes a cute romantic love story that leaves the readers yearning for more. Her writing style and humorous dialogues between the characters are very entertaining and refreshing. I loved Carter and Mackenzie, even though they seem to be ultimately the opposite; they complement each other so well. I am not a frequent romance reader, but Roberts develops her stories so well, which keeps me coming back for more. Vision in White was my best, but the Jack Stories series was enjoyable too.
Nora Roberts is the prolific author of more than two hundred romance novels; however, she is more known to me as J. D. Robb, the writer of the “In Death” series. This is how I was introduced to her writing, and had gone through a number of the books in the series before finding out the author’s real name. While I have not tried her romance series, I have kept up with her Robb writings and am still constantly thrilled by the near-future crime mysteries. The relationship between the two leads is always entertaining and maturing, and they characters feel like real people, which makes it much easier to get into the story. Several of Roberts romance books have been adapted into movies, but I have not seen any of them so can’t comment on their quality.
I always compare prolific authors like Nora Roberts to long-running shows like Friends. I watch Friends all the time because it has ten incredibly entertaining seasons. The show has so many episodes that I can’t remember everything that happened. So, I can pop any random episode on and enjoy it without worrying that it has grown stale.
J.K. Rowling is one of my favorite authors. But I can’t read Harry Potter every year. I’ve read those seven books so many times that I can practically recite them from memory. This is where Nora stands out.
Her bibliography is so extensive that it took me years to read all her books. Additionally, today, I can pick any book of hers at random, read it, and enjoy it because I simply can’t remember what happened in all her books. This is why I turn to her whenever I can’t find a book to read. I don’t expect her to disappoint, and so far, she hasn’t.
Nora Roberts is definitely one of those authors I’d put in the ‘feel good’ category of books you enjoy reading. Sometimes a bit predictable, but the occasional story twist can be found. I always consider her to be like Debbie Macomber as they have similar styles.
When I read my first trilogy set I was hooked. So many good stories and when I was reading the author notes on one of the books it talked about the In Death books under JD Robb and I was off on another adventure. I was given a chance to add a title to my Kindle and decided that I wanted of Nora’s trilogy sets and when reviewing the list I was amazed just how many I have read through the years.
Nora Roberts – what can I say? I have yet to read a poor book of hers. From fantasy to bridal to mysteries. She is an excellent author that I will never grow tired of.
Nora Roberts is one of my favorite artists. I especially love her In Death series written under her J.D. Robb pen name! I would really love to see this series made into a television series. I buy and read those books as soon as they are released – I just can’t wait for the next book to be released!
Once again Nora Roberts outdid herself. I have never read a poorly written book of hers. Hope she keeps them coming!!
