Suzanne Woods Fisher is not my cup of tea, or at least, that is what I thought when I got ‘The Keeper’ for free. I can tolerate contemporary romance on occasion. But contemporary romance set in Amish territory was one step too far. Again, that is what I thought before I read ‘The Keeper.’
But the novel changed my mind. I have spent the last few months taking a leisurely stroll through Fisher’s bibliography, and so far, she hasn’t let me down. Her stories are so wholesome and inspiring. While the author isn’t afraid to tackle religion, no one in their right mind would ever call her preachy.
