I don’t re-read books too often, but The Hunger Games series was one I knew my kids would love, so we’re working through it together again. While I wasn’t a fan of some authorial choices about Katniss and Prim at the end of Mockingjay, those details don’t detract from the overall appeal of the series. Hard to top, but hopefully Collins keeps writing and invites us into another world someday.

The story is a bit of a depressing one, let’s face it! I’d be one of the first to die in the arena haha but the books are well written and the arena section of the series really makes you feel the anxiousness of never being able to let your guard down. The movies are good too but I find the books just give so much more detail. Not a super long series or a hard read so would absolutely recommend!
