This is a great book list. Julie Garwood always creates positive relationships between the two leads and there is always some good banter which leads to plenty of laughing out loud while reading despite the numerous times I have read these books.
Having read all of her novels multiple times, her best would have to be “Fast Track”, but I love every single one of them.
Ever since I read “Prince Charming” the first time, I have been enjoying reading through her books, and like to re-read her work when there’s a new one set to come out in preparation.
When it comes to romance novels, Julie Garwood is something of a Rembrandt as she tends to create a masterpiece with every novel she writes.
Garwood writes some quirky novels with clumsy heroines that have a knack for getting lost anywhere and a charming ability to change the direction and obfuscate conversations to the frustration and consternation of the other party.
While Julie Garwood writes some very interesting characters, it is her willingness to tackle difficult issues that has struck a chord with me over the years reading her novels.
I have been reading Garwood since she started in historical romance and followed her to contemporary romantic suspense.
I have also watched the film adaptation of Heartbreaker her debut contemporary novel and found it quite enjoyable even if it deviated a lot from the novel.
Julie Garwood is one of the high-ranked American fiction authors, and thanks for this book list. I’ve known the author for writing breathtakingly romance novels like in the Lairds’ Brides series. Gentle Warrior was a cute and tender love story of love, passion, and adventure. I’ve read most of Julie Garwood’s novels, and I found them amazing, but my favorite was the Bride. She is an excellent storyteller and has insight into the human heart; no wonder she is among the bestselling authors of all time. My favorite character was Jamie, she is a blend of sweet, brave, sassy, and outspoken, and she had me laughing throughout The Bride, Garwood takes her readers on an exciting romance journey full of suspense, humor, and historical information. The Rose Hill movie based on the novel For The Roses is enjoyable, and I watched it multiple times.
Julie Garwood keeps surprising me. ‘The Bride’ promised me an alpha male. But the Scottish badass Garwood delivered was surprisingly tender despite his ruthless streak.
In ‘The secret,’ I was more invested in the friendship between the women than I was in the romance, which has never happened to me. Now, I can’t wait to see what ‘Ransom’ has in store.
Garwood makes effective use of all the romance tropes I love. But just like every successful romance author, she finds a way of breathing new life into the cliches of the genre, which I appreciate because so many contemporary authors replicate these without changing anything.
