As we continue to enhance our awards section, we have now added the Theakston’s Old Peculier Awards.
That listing covers the winners and nominees of all books for the awards since they began in 2005. If you are a member of Book Notification, each book listed will show your read status beside it.
This is a very prestigious award in the world of UK crime fiction, and each year the Crime Novel of the Year award is given to one author. On top of that, they have now started giving out an award called the Outstanding Contributing to Crime Fiction. Authors such as Ann Cleeves and Sara Paretsky have won that award in the past.
The Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award is more than just a prestigious accolade in the UK crime fiction realm; it’s a celebration of literary excellence that has significantly influenced authors’ careers. Held in conjunction with the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival in Harrogate, this event is a cornerstone of the literary year, drawing together the finest minds in crime fiction.
If you are a fan of crime fiction, be sure to check these awards out as there will be some great books on there for you to read.
