Really enjoy the series. Witches? Spellbound hounds? Little romance, bad magic users causing havoc and the rise of new “heroes” to take them down. Enjoy the little twists of romance with Clarissa and her various friends. Toby, the aforementioned Hound is a great comic relief, plus a hero in his own right. He has great expectations for his life. The author also does a good job of spotlighting the plight of animals living on the streets. Hope for other heroes to arise and save them from a short, ugly life through no fault of their own. Haven’t dipped my toes into her other series, but they are waiting in the wings. Three more Toby’s to go.
