Netflix has announced that The Gray Man movie, starring Ryan Gosling, will be getting a sequel.
The Gray Man is based off the novel of the same name, in the Gray Man series of novels by Mark Greaney.
The excellent spy thriller series which features Courtland Gentry as the Gray Man currently has 11 novels as of this writing.
The first movie in the series starred streaming on Netflix on July 22nd, 2022. It starred Ryan Gosling as the Gray Man and also featured Chris Evans.
It received mixed reviews from various outlets, but according to the Hollywood Reporter, was the top movie in 92 different countries.
It had 88.55 million viewing hours over its premier weekend, the best since The Adam Project which premiered in March, and had over 90 million hours of viewing.
There is no news yet on whether the sequel movie to The Gray Man will be based specifically on any of the novels.
On Target is the next novel in the series and had been nominated for the best thriller award at the Barry Awards in 2011.
On a related note, the 12th book in the Gray Man series has been announced. Titled Burner, it currently has a February 2023 release date.
