Nico Walker (Nicholas Walker) was born on April 19th, 1985 and is currently 39 years old. Nico Walker was born in Cleveland, Ohio, United States.

Nico served as an Army medic in an Infantry unit in Iraq, going on more than 250 combat missions. When he returned, he had undiagnosed PTSD, was depressed and traumatized, and became addicted to heroin and Oxycodone. To fund his addiction, he robbed ten banks around Cleveland in a matter of four months. He was arrested, pleaded guilty, and was given an eleven-year sentence. While in prison he spent nearly four years writing and rewriting the semi-autobiography which would be titled Cherry.
His novel Cherry debuted at number 14 on The New York Times bestseller list. Nico says he is using the sales of the book to pay back the banks he robbed. The novel was shortlisted for the 2019 Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award.
While he served in Iraq, he received seven medals and commendations. He was released from prison early, in October 2019 and is currently working on a second novel.
Nico's novel Cherry was made into a movie also called Cherry, and was released in theaters on February 26, 2021, and on Apple TV+ on March 12, 2021. Joe and Anthony Russo bought the rights for one million dollars and directed and produced the film, Jessica Goldberg wrote the script and Tom Holland played the character based on Nico Walker. Nice was offered the opportunity to be executive producer, but he turned it down.
