Is anyone else fascinated by stories like the Bedwyn Saga, where we follow members of the same family as they find love? I see that trope so many times that I’m starting to think it’s a separate sub-genre of romance.

The trope amuses me because the real world is full of large families in which one or two siblings find their soulmates, but the other brothers and sisters, uncles, and aunts have to drown in romantic misery for the rest of their lives.

But this is fiction, so you can’t expect the characters’ romantic lives to mirror real life. If they did, I wouldn’t bother reading the Bedwyn Saga. I read that first novel knowing that all six brothers and sisters would find love. Balogh has not disappointed thus far.
