The Princess is one of those novels I reread every few months whenever I can’t muster the energy to tackle a new book. Lori Wick is unique to me because she is the only Christian author I have read.
The Princess caught me off guard because it starts where other fairy tales end, with the Princess marrying her Prince. I was intrigued by the premise and then repelled by the Christian messages.
But they eventually faded into the background. The characters are so solid that I cannot help but overlook all the other weaknesses. I don’t think I have read any of Lori’s recent works.
I am slowly making my way through the 1990s section of her bibliography. But I always return to The Princess.
