Moning introduced me to the world of the fae. In the beginning, I did not get it. I remember reading a chapter of ‘Throne of Glass’ and thinking, ‘Nah, this isn’t for me.’ But I did not give that book a fair shot.
I blame the crowd I run with. They don’t like paranormal romance, especially novels about the fae. I haven’t yet told them that I own every book Moning has ever written.
It started with Dark Fever a year ago. I don’t know what I thought I would find in the book when I first picked it up. But I did not expect rich lore and exciting murder mysteries. The romance wasn’t as cringeworthy as I had been led to believe. This genre doesn’t deserve the bad reputation it enjoys among readers of contemporary fantasy.
