Dean Koontz (Dean Ray Koontz) was born on July 9th, 1945 and is currently 80 years old. Dean Koontz was born in Everett, Pennsylvania, USA. Koontz attended Shippensburg State College where he received a B.A. English.

Dean Koontz has published 91 standalone novels, starting with Star Quest / Doom of the Green Planet in 1968. The most recently released novel was The Friend of the Family, which was released in 2026.There are no upcoming standalone novels by Dean at this time.
