This book is the one to read when overwhelmed by today problems. It tells the story of the awesome people of Gander,Newfoundland on Sept.11. Despite the horror of that day, these people, for 4 days, open their hearts and homes to thousands of strangers as incoming planes from Europe landed at Gander Airport. They fed them, clothed them,(not permitted to bring luggage from plane) and fed and took care of any animals left on the planes (animals had to stay in the holds). There are days I need to remember there are good and kind people still in this world. This is my go-to-feel good book! And there is even a great musical about this day (strange as that sounds) called “Come From Away. Try it, you’ll love it!
