Oh, My God. Fredrik Backman is unmatched. Granted, other authors have richer bibliographies. They have more attractive collections of accolades. But none of them has had the pleasure of writing a masterpiece like ‘A Man Called Ove.’

I would be lying if I said that I liked this book because ‘liked’ cannot adequately express my adoration for the novel. Usually, poignant literature is self-important. The author is trying too hard to philosophize. He wows readers with his grasp of the English language, which is why every other sentence has a word you can barely pronounce.

But Backman’s writing is so simple, so clean. Your eyes flow from sentence to sentence without breaking. His writing style is welcoming, which is why I recommend this book to everyone, regardless of their reading level. It’s amazing.
