The Summer I Turned Pretty was adapted into a television sereis for Amazon Prime in 2022. Unlike many television adaptations, the show is actually executive produced by Jenny Han as well. The show stars Lola Tung as Isabel "Belly" Conklin.
The show was well received by critics and viewers. It was renewed for a second season before the series even aired its first episode. The debut of the series also led to an increase in sales of the books with the trilogy of books reaching the top three spots on the Amazon Best Sellers list. The success of the show also helped the artists whose music appeared in the series make a jump in sales.
After the success of the To All the Boys I've Loved Before movie series on Netflix, production began on a spinoff television series called XO, Kitty. The show entered production with Jenny Han and Sascha Rothchild as co-showrunners.
