I was shocked by ‘Sunrise Canyon.’ I moved on from Janet Dailey after her death in 2013. A friend told me to expect more Janet Dailey books but obviously penned by ghostwriters.
However, I wasn’t interested. Janet was dead, and I had no intention of watching as a ghostwriter butchered her stories. But I was wrong. I bought ‘Sunrise Canyon’ from a local store a few days and, to my surprise, it was a proper Janet Dailey novel.
Whoever wrote the book gave us the perfect balance of romance and drama. I don’t know how they did it, but they revived Janet’s voice, and I’m grateful. I can’t wait to read more.
