However, I can always recall how they made me feel because they pack a powerful emotional punch, which never happens with the other fluffy, lighthearted books I usually encounter.
Every character that Emily creates matters. You know who they are, what they want, and how far they are willing to go to attain true happiness. Some of them talk like real people I see every day, which speaks volumes about Emily’s ability to craft realistic personalities and conversations.
