Brian has taken the long road in his life after having been raised by a Puerto Rican mom and gained a wealth of experience from doing all kinds of odd jobs along the way, including bartending, steel company work, and ushering at a movie theater. All of which helped to inform his grounded characters and the new worlds that he creates. But his most influential role in life is dad to Paris (grown son) and Sophia and Olivia (daughters).
The Flash Vol. 1: Move Forward. Barry Allen (Central City Police scientist) was struck by a bolt of lightning and doused in chemicals, and got transformed into the fastest man alive. Tapping into the energy field known as the Speed Force, he applies this tenacious sense of justice to protect and serve the world as the Flash.
He knows he can’t be everywhere at once, however he’s seemingly met his match once he faces Mob Rule, the hottest new super villain, who can truly be everywhere at once.
While Mob Rule wages this campaign of crime clear across Central City, including this electromagnetic blast which plunges the whole city into darkness, Flash learns the only way he’ll be able to capture Mob Rule and save Central City is by learning how to make his brain function even faster than before, however as much as his new moves help him, they also come with a steep price.
The Black Bat features a return to the classic pulp from the ‘30s in a modern take on a seminal character which inspired several well known comic icons.
Tony Quinn is this brash Defense Attorney to the mob who compromises his ethics for financial gain. But when he refuses to cross the line and actually commit a murder, he’s tortured and then blinded by his gangsters employers.
However when this fortuitous meeting with a covert agency gives him the chance to make amends, he transforms into the Black Bat and goes off on this redemptive quest in order to right the wrongs of his past.
