He originally found his way into comics as a colorist for DC and Marvel Comics, before he segued into writing. Brian got his start in Hollywood working with Tim Story (a director) on
Think Like a Man,
Fantastic Four, and
Hurricane Season.
In 2017, he completed Universal Feature Writer’s Program and was a creator in Dan Lin’s inaugural TV development Incubator at Rideback in 2019, where he developed an original pilot for MRC.
Brian has taken the long road in his life after having been raised by a Puerto Rican mom and gained a wealth of experience from doing all kinds of odd jobs along the way, including bartending, steel company work, and ushering at a movie theater. All of which helped to inform his grounded characters and the new worlds that he creates. But his most influential role in life is dad to Paris (grown son) and Sophia and Olivia (daughters).

Tony Quinn is this brash Defense Attorney to the mob who compromises his ethics for financial gain. But when he refuses to cross the line and actually commit a murder, he’s tortured and then blinded by his gangsters employers.
However when this fortuitous meeting with a covert agency gives him the chance to make amends, he transforms into the Black Bat and goes off on this redemptive quest in order to right the wrongs of his past.
