I love the Wayfarers group of stories. Just being in the same universe with the characters is enough connection for me.
The Wayfarers books were all enjoyable reads, but “The Galaxy and the Ground Within” was my favorite as it is such a simple, but very moving story with the theme of acceptance of diversity and the value of kindness.
I was looking for — really I was NEEDING to find — a story of beautiful writing and hope. As antidote to the dystopias (well-written and necessary though they may be) in story, and the assaults of a war-torn world. I did not anticipate that the bots of the Internet would search out this little treasure – Psalm for the Wild-Built. Or that I would close the novella feeling both soothed and hopeful. Eager to read the next…and the next, and the next. AG Forcier
A Prayer for the Crown-Shy is as delightful and satisfying as the first book in this new series. I feel as if I am traveling with Dex and Mosscap and discovering — maybe relearning — something vital and necessary. Eager for more of their adventures.
