If you are a Jack Reacher fan, then be sure to mark October 22nd, 2024 in your calendars as that is the currently listed date for the 29th novel in this epic book series
The series began in 1997 by Lee Child with the book Killing Floor, and has has captivated readers for decades. That book was recently adapted into season 1 of the Reacher TV show on Amazon Prime.
The new novel is called In Too Deep, and is co-authored with Andrew Child. Andrew Child is the pen name for Andrew Grant, and is the brother of Lee Child. Note that the cover shown above is a placeholder cover, and has a note on it that the final cover is coming soon.
This will be the fifth novel with Andrew Child’s name on the book cover. The previous one, The Secret, which was released in 2023, went back to the early days of Jack Reacher and was the 2nd full-length novel chronologically.
The newest novel, In Too Deep, takes place back in present time. It finds Jack Reacher in a precarious and bewildering situation, The story begins with Reacher waking up in total darkness, handcuffed to a bed in an improvised hospital room.
Stripped of what little possessions he carries, he finds himself ensnared in a mysterious and dangerous predicament. With no recollection of how he got there, his last memory is of a car he was in being violently run off the road, resulting in the driver’s death.
Reacher is mistaken for the driver’s accomplice, when in reality he had just hitched a ride. The people behind the attack are planning on making Reacher talk. If you know Jack Reacher, you know that’s not going to be easy.
