I started reading Vicki Delany’s Sherlock Holmes Bookshop Mystery series because I love the concept. The protagonist runs a bookshop in West London. If I ever retire, which is unlikely to happen, I can see myself spending my mornings drinking tea in a bookstore, surrounded by walls of books.
Actually, forget all that. If I retire and I have the money, I will open a bookstore/tea shop for all the readers and tea lovers of the world. Vicki’s books are pleasant. The mysteries are simple, which I like. I don’t have to think too hard to enjoy the stories. These are the sorts of books I read when I want to relax.
