If I’ve known Lynette Eason for something, it’s her skill in creating inspirational and romantic books. She never fails to keep me in suspense in her mystery books. Her bold and vivid writing shines all through in the High Stakes series. The author uses Marianna, a deaf, to add uniqueness to the plot. She gives us a glimpse into the hearing impaired. Her books are quick and easy to read and keep the reader engaged to the last page. Eason’s books grab my attention right from the first page. She uses tremendous characters in her romance novels. There are many emotional scenes in the No One to Trust novel to keep the reader engaged.
I can’t help but smile whenever I discover authors like Lynette Eason. Christian authors get a bad rap, and for a good reason. Christian fiction is not good. Why? Because Christian authors know that churchgoers will read anything with a positive faith-based message. For that reason, Christian fiction is usually poorly written and poorly plotted. But every so often, I encounter authors like Lynette Eason who take their craft seriously.
She writes real romantic suspense. Her books have legitimate twists and turns. Lynette makes a decent effort to deliver an engaging plot without sacrificing the Christian message at the heart of her novels. For her efforts, she should be applauded.
This was the most suspenseful of her books I have read! Of course I haven’t read them all!! The ending was quite a surprise!
