Karen M. McManus was recommended by a teenage nephew I was eager to ignore because I don’t read novels with adolescent characters, and I don’t read YA. But you know what? I am starting to change my tune about the genre.
I wasn’t necessarily disappointed by Karen’s adaptation (One Of Us Is Lying). But as far as TV shows go, this one was average. It wasn’t until I read the novel version of the story that this author sunk her hooks into me.
Her books are addictive. This is one of those authors that keep you up late at night because you can’t stop thinking about their words.
