Jeanne’s books are a pleasure to read. I can’t think of a better way of describing them. I wasn’t a fan of cozy mysteries until I read ‘Trouble In The Town Hall.’

The book, and the installments that followed, won me over because the protagonist is an older woman, which was refreshing for someone like me, whose library is filled with fantasy novels headlined by adolescent heroes.

I was just as enamored by the charming English town that Dorothy Martin called home. The person who recommended Jeanne to me kept complaining about the emphasis some of the books placed on small-town politics.

I found that opinion interesting because I was more interested in small-town politics than I was in mysteries. But I guess we all read novels for different reasons.
