In 1989, Ellen Datlow was nominated for the "Professional" award, a World Fantasy Special Award for her work on the magazine Omni and for her work on anthologies. In 1990, 1991, 1994, 2002 and 2003 she was again nominated for her work with editing. In 1995, she won the award for editing. In 1998 and 2010 she was nominated for her work in editing and anthologies. In 2001, she was nominated for the award for her work with the online magazine Sci Fiction and also on anthologies.
