Lists like this one are most exciting when I discover a new author and realize that they have so many books on the market. That happened recently with Damien Boyd.
Every few months, I lose interest in police procedures because they are starting to feel the same. But just as I’m about to close the door on the entire genre, a new crime fiction novel comes along and reinvigorates my interest in police procedurals.
This time, it was ‘As The Crow Flies’ by Damien Boyd. First of all, the book has an incredible cover. Secondly, the mystery was solid. I was fully invested in Nick’s quest to solve the dead climber’s murder.
I think I’ll stick with Boyd for a few more books. He has made a fan out of me.
The next of Damien’s books is called ‘Death Message’ and will be released in June. Can’t wait 🙂
