The Christmas Box is the only book from this list that I’ve read. A friend gifted me a copy for Christmas a while back, but I never got around to reading it. And then I lost it. A year later, another person (a cousin, this time) sent me the novel as a gift.
This time around, I had to read it because I knew my cousin would demand feedback. Fortunately, I did not regret the experience. The book is beautiful. I initially resisted its pull because I felt like it was trying to manipulate my emotions.
But eventually, I gave in and went with the flow. I haven’t read any other novel from this author since then. But I’m determined to read more of his work. It’s just a matter of finding some free time.
The Christmas Box was likely his one book that had the most impact in my life. All of his books are very thought provoking. Very talented writer, always enjoy his books.
