Linda Fairstein is not my favorite person. I doubt any reasonable person would support her after learning about the events depicted in ‘When They See Us,’ not to mention her involvement with Harvey Weinstein.
And yet, I would be lying if I said that her books were boring. Fairstein worked sex crimes in the Manhattan DA office for decades. She understands this world, and you can see it in the books she writes. I thought some novels were slow. But in a way, for someone like me who prefers thrillers that delve into the minutiae of the legal field, that deliberate pacing is a strength rather than a weakness.
Just finished Killer Heat. If you like historical information, you might enjoy this one.
I have read all of her novels. Loved them all and wish that she would write more. I loved her characters and the interaction.
