Valerie Bertinelli (Valerie Anne Bertinelli) was born on April 23rd, 1960 and is currently 65 years old. Valerie Bertinelli was born in Wilmington, Delaware, USA.

Valerie Bertinelli is best known as TV personality and actress who has also written memoirs and cookbooks. She is the daughter of General Motors executive Andrew Francis Betinellu and his wife Nancy.

In her early teens, the family had to move to Michigan from Wilmington as her Father had been transferred to Detroit. A few years after arriving in Michigan, her father was yet again reassigned to a Van Nuys, California based GM plant.

It was during her time in California that she became friends Tami Lynn who was the daughter of a Hollywood TV producer. Tami Lynn would become her manager over about eight years and would get her, her first hit role when she was cast in One Day at a Time, the 1975 hit CBS TV series.

Bertinelli has also been a star in feature films, miniseries, made for TV movies and situational comedies. Over the years, she has become known as a bestselling author, spokesperson and TV personality. She was cast in Hot Cleveland, the Emmy Award winning series which also got a nomination for a Screen Actors Guild.

In 1981, Tami Lynn got married to Edward Van Halen the rock guitarist with whom he had a son. In 2005, Bertinelli cited irreconcilable differences and filed for divorce, which was granted in 2007.

In 2022, Valerie Bertinelli published Enough Already, a work in which she takes her readers through the creation of her cooking show, the final days of her husband’s battle with cancer and the ordeals of the pandemic. She also includes her favorite recipes such as chocolate cake, pizza lasagna, crab dip and hot spinach.

Losing It is a work that Valerie Bertinelli published in 2008. In the book, Valerie shows you insights into her marriage and acting career, as she recalls the friendships, comforts and problems with friends and family. Just like many women, she remembers what she was feeling at different points in her life by the numbers on the scale and the food she ate.
