Saifedean Ammous was born on October 24th, 1980 and is currently 45 years old. Saifedean Ammous was born in Nablus, Palestine. Ammous attended the American University of Beirut where he received a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, London School of Economics and Political Science where he received a Master’s degree in Development Management and Columbia University where he received a PhD in Sustainable Development.

Saifedean Ammous is a bestselling author and economist. His 2018 book, The Bitcoin Standard, was a bestseller and has been published in 37 languages. Saifedean’s 2021 book, The Fiat Standard, has been translated into over 25 languages, and his other book, Principles of Economics, has been translated into 14 languages. He teaches courses on economics and the economics of Bitcoin in the Austrian school tradition on his online learning platform, Saifedean.com. Saifedean is a former professor at Lebanese American University, where he taught economics between 2009 and 2019. He holds a PhD in Sustainable Development from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
