Paul Finebaum is a popular American television and radio personality, newspaper columnist, and author.

From 1980, he worked as a columnist and reporter for Birmingham newspapers, where he used to report on college sports. During this time, he built a regional and local following for his writing and commentary on sports issues in the Southeastern U.S.

The Paul Finebaum Radio Network, for which he became very famous, was launched in 2001. It was broadcast on Sirius XM and in several states in the southeast. He usually has a segment where listeners call in to discuss Southeastern Conference teams, college football, and rivalries.

In 2013, he got a job at ESPN and, in doing so, he also joined the new SEC Network. He started hosting the daily radio program The Paul Finebaum Show broadcast on the SEC Network. Finebaum has also appeared on the likes of Get Up, SportsCenter, First Take, College GameDay, and College Football Live on ESPN.

Over the years, Finebaum has developed a reputation for his in-depth understanding of Southeastern college football and his ability to connect with fans.

In his first work of the I Hate series titled I Hate Auburn, he provides a list of 300 quirky reasons to hate the football program at Auburn University.

He makes fun of the fan culture, traditions, games, and rivalries of Auburn University College Football. Through local sports lore, exaggeration, and humor, he lets readers in as he teases and laughs at the team.

In 2014, Paul Finebaum published the work My Conference Can Beat Your Conference, in which he provides an insider's look into the Southeastern Conference.

Finebaum explains how the Conference has produced the best teams with record-breaking championship wins and star players. He combines his experiences with sports history as he traces his rise from humble beginnings to become one of the most prominent voices in football.

He also gives his perspectives on famous coaches and players, the major controversies, and the fans whose passion is akin to that of religious fanatics. Finebaum captures the obsession, rivalries, and culture that make the Southeastern Conference so unique.
