Lisa Damour (Lisa Kendall Damour) was born on November 7th, 1980 and is currently 44 years old. Lisa Damour was born in Denver, Colorado, USA. Damour attended Yale University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree and the University of Michigan where she received a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.

Lisa Damour is an author, clinical psychologist, and podcaster that specializes in the development of teens. Lisa is also a recurring contributor to CBS Mornings.

She grew up in London, Denver, and Chicago. In 1988, she graduated from Denver’s Manual High School before attending Yale University. After she graduated with honors with a BA from Yale, she worked for the Yale Child Study Center. Then she received her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Michigan.

Lisa’s held fellowships from the Pediatric AIDS Foundation, Yale’s Edward Zigler Center in Child Development and Social Policy, and the University of Michigan’s Power Foundation.

She maintains a psychology practice as she also serves as senior advisor for the Schubert Center for Child Studies at Case Western Reserve University. She was the founding director of Laurel School’s Center for Research on Girls.

In the summer of 2020, she started a podcast, called Ask Lisa Podcast, which she co-hosts with Reena Ninan, and gives parenting advice.

Lisa was a consultant for Inside Out 2, where she gave guidance to the production team on portraying how teens’ emotions change during puberty. She writes about adolescents for The New York Times and contributes to UNICEF. Lisa has also given TED Talks.
