I started reading Lars Kepler because I was fascinated by the story behind the pen name. Lars Kepler is a husband-and-wife duo. When reporters first attempted to crack the Kepler mystery, they identified Henning Mankell as the real author behind the pseudonym. They were wrong.
This got my attention because Henning Mankell is awesome. I re-read his Wallander novels every other year. Naturally, I wondered whether British media had pinpointed Mankell because Kepler’s novels bore a strong resemblance to his work.
Having devoured the first four Joona Linna books, I think the Wallander novels are better. But that doesn’t take anything away from Kepler. Their books have great stories, characters, and atmosphere. I like what I’ve seen thus far.
Love your books! Such an imagination. My husband devours your books as much as I do.
Can’t help but to be enthralled with Joona Linna. Exciting stories that are hard to put down. I think it is best to read them in order.
