Kurt Angle (Kurt Steven Angle) was born on December 9th, 1968 and is currently 57 years old. Kurt Angle was born in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania, USA. Angle attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania where he received an education degree.

Kurt Angle is famous as an Olympic gold medalist and former professional wrestler. For his exploits, he has won a bunch of pro wrestling titles and has been inducted into the WWE and TNA Hall of Fame.

His love for wrestling came from the roughhousing he did with his elder brothers as a kid. It was from the influence of his brothers and a desire to step out from their shadows that he got into football and wrestling in high school, where he won a state wrestling championship and was an all-state linebacker.

Despite so many challenges, he won the Olympic Gold Medal in 1996 with a broken neck. Following his exploits, he was a guest on Jay Leno’s The Tonight Show and The Today Show, in addition to many other broadcasts where he shared his story.

In 1998, he transitioned into professional wrestling signing with the WWF where he soon found massive success. It was also in 1998 that he married his wife Karen Smedly with whom he has two children. When he held the WWF and WCW Championships in the same year, he became one of the most celebrated wrestlers of his era.

Kurt retired from professional wrestling in 2019 but now works for the WWE as a backstage producer. He also works as a stunt coordinator and actor for television and movies.

In 2001, Kurt Angle published his first work It’s True! It’s True! alongside John Harper.

In the work, Kurt describes his triumphant moments including how he won the 1996 Olympic Gold Medal. He chronicles his life from his childhood and his family from boisterous brothers and an alcoholic father. He also tells of how the death of his father motivated him to work hard and achieve his dream of becoming a wrestler. He then tracks his journey toward becoming the legendary wrestler that he is from high school and college to winning two championships in the same year.
