Kimberly Chambers writes addictive stories. I know everyone uses that word to describe their favorite authors. But it is an accurate description of the effect Kimberly’s stories have on me.
To be clear, she isn’t my favorite author. She would probably secure a spot in the top 15, but not the top five. That being said, her books are breathtaking. Her characters always surprise me because so many of them do things I hate. But I can’t bring myself to despise them because they have so much depth.
I understand why they do what they do. They are not necessarily bad people but, rather, ordinary people that have to contend with terrible circumstances. This speaks volumes about Kimberly’s characterization.
