Yorkshire Murder Mysteries is one of the best crime fiction series I’ve ever read. I remember listening to The Body in the Dales audiobook and thinking that the narrator was responsible for the adoration I felt for the characters.
He brought that story to life in ways I’ve never experienced. But then I decided to consume the other novels in the series in eBook format and quickly realized that Ellis was the real star of the show.
The narrator had simply enhanced what the author had already created. Ellis’ stories are rich and fluid. His books have plenty of twists, but he doesn’t rely on them to tell interesting stories.
I am hooked on the Yorkshire Murder Mysteries. I thoroughly enjoy the read. It always hard waiting for the next one.
