Hulk Hogan is a retired professional wrestler who was the main attraction during the World Wrestling Federation's national expansion in 1984. During his various runs with the WWF (later WWE), he won the WWF Championship on six separate occasions. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, and again in 2020 as a member of the New World Order.
In 1994, Hulk Hogan signed with WWF's rival, World Championship Wrestling (WCW). While wrestling there, he won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times.
Outside of wrestling, Hogan has appeared and starred many feature films. He appeared in Rocky III with Sylvester Stallone, and starred in the films No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, Mr. Nanny, Santa with Muscles, and 3 Ninjas: High Moon at Mega Mountain. He also made appearances in the theatrical cut of Gremlins 2, as well as Muppets from Space and Spy Hard. He co-starred in two Shadow Warriors television movies alongside Carl Weathers and Shannon Tweed; the film series was conceptualized as a pilot for an ongoing television series.
Hulk Hogan and his family were the subjects of a VH1 reality series titled Hogan Knows Best. The series ran for four seasons and was spun-off into another series, Brooke Knows Best, which centered around his daughter.
Hogan hosted a reality show called Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling on CMT - a competition show involving celebrities trying to be pro wrestlers. Competitors included Dennis Rodman (the winner), Butterbean, Dustin Diamond, Danny Bonaduce, and more.
Over 170 action figures have been produced bearing Hogan's likeness.
Hogan has appeared in over 50 wrestling video games.
In addition to being in the WWE Hall of Fame twice, he is also a member of the International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame, Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum, New Japan Pro-Wrestling Greatest 18 Club, and Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame. He is also a three-time Pro Wrestling Illustrated Wrestler of the Year and the winner of Tokyo Sports' Best Foreigner Award in 1983.
