The world lost a legend when Paulsen died. His prolific career goes way beyond The Brian Saga—though that popular series is certainly a great example of his writing ability. His focus on nature, courage, and the process of growing up make him one of my favorite fiction authors, though I personally didn’t start reading him until I was already an adult myself.
