David Epstein

Epstein attended Columbia University where he received a bachelor's degree in environmental science and astronomy and Columbia University where he received a master's degrees in environmental science and journalism.

Both of Epstein's books were New York Times bestsellers and have been translated into over thirty languages worldwide.

In his time at Columbia University, Epstein was on a 4x800-meter relay team that set the school record. He was given the varsity award for the athlete who "achieved significant success in the face of unusual challenge and difficulty." David was also twice named NCAA All-East as an 800-meter runner.

Epstein's writing has earned honors from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, the Society of Professional Journalists, and the National Center on Disability and Journalism in his career.

David previously served as the host of Slate's "How To!" podcast.

Additionally, Epstein is a popular public speaker. He has given TED Talks which have been viewed many millions of times.
