Chris Colfer

Chris Colfer (Christopher Paul Colfer) was born on May 27th, 1990 and is currently 35 years old. Chris Colfer was born in Clovis, California, USA.

Chris Colfer is a singer, actor, and author. He rose to prominence for playing Kurt Hummel from 2009 to 2015 on Glee. He won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries or TV Film in 2011, and 3 straight People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Comedic TV Actor from 2013 to 2015. He also got 2 Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series nomination, and a Grammy nomination.

Chris’s sister was diagnosed with severe epilepsy when he was 7. He craved attention from his parents, however it got diverted to his sister’s health. He knew that he wanted to become an actor, however as a coping mechanism he retreated into his imagination and started writing fairy tales.

From an early age, he showed this passion for writing stories. He was born wanting to become a storyteller, using both acting and writing as ways to entertain people and escape from reality.

His grandma was his first editor, advising and encouraging him during elementary school when he first tried writing a fairy tale inspired novel, which later became his The Land of Stories series. This is why he dedicated his first published novel to her.

He was also active in the drama club, FFA, was editor of the school’s literary magazine, president of the Writer’s Club, and captain of Destination ImagiNation.

Chris wrote, starred in, and directed a parody of Sweeney Todd called Shirley Todd, where all of the roles where gender swapped during his senior year of high school.

A Tale of Magic is a new adventure set in the Land of Stories universe.

Brystal Evergreen stumbles upon this secret section in the library, she finds this book which introduces her to this world beyond her imagination and learns the impossible is true: she’s a fairy that’s capable of magic. However in the oppressive Southern Kingdom, women are expressly forbidden from reading and magic has been outlawed, so Brystal gets swiftly convicted of her crimes and is sent off to the miserable Bootstrap Correctional Facility.

However with help from the mysterious Madame Weatherberry, she’s whisked away and gets enrolled in an academy of magic. Adventure comes at a steep price, though, and once Madame Weatherberry gets called away to attend to this important problem, she never comes back.

Do Brystal and the rest of her classmates have what it takes to stop this sinister plan which risks the fate of the entire world, and magic, forever?
