Chris Christie

Chris Christie (Christopher James Christie) was born on September 6th, 1962 and is currently 62 years old. Chris Christie was born in Newark, New Jersey, USA. Christie attended the University of Delaware where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and Seton Hall University where he received a JD degree.

Chris Christie was an American politician and lawyer who was also the New Jersey governor from 2010 to 2018. Before serving as governor, he worked as a lawyer for more than 10 years and then got into political campaigns with the Republican Party.

Christie made his debut in government when he was appointed United States attorney for New Jersey in the George W. Bush administration. As a US attorney, he made his name prosecuting more than 100 corruption cases involving public officials.

Chris Christie soundly defeated Jon Corzine, the Democratic governor of New Jersey, in the 2009 elections in an election he was never expected to win. As governor, he was known for being very pragmatic as he appealed to different perspectives, including the majority of Democrats in the state.

In 2012, he gained much popularity when he led efforts to address the impact of Superstorm Sandy. His leadership got him much praise from President Obama, even though he was criticized by many Republican quarters. He easily won the 2013 reelection.

His tenure as governor would then be soiled by the politically motivated lane closure that would become known as the Bridgegate Scandal. Even though he asserted that he was not involved, some of his aides were found guilty, even though the Supreme Court overturned some of those convictions.

In 2016, Chris Christie unsuccessfully ran for nomination for the presidential ticket under the Republican Party but was ultimately unsuccessful. Having served for two terms, term limits meant he could no longer run for governor.

In 2023, Christie once again ran for president using his experience and combative style to criticize fellow aspirant Trump. However, the Republican base did not like his attacks on Trump, and he did not gain much traction and suspended his campaign in early 2024.

In 2019, Chris Christie published a memoir about his time as governor and prosecutor inthe work Let Me Finish. He tells of the struggles to get attention from Donald Trump, even as he discusses the many controversies from his tenure, such as prosecuting Jared Kushner’s father and the Bridgegate Scandal. It is a memoir that offers some deep insights into American leadership and politics.

Christie changed gears with his second work, Republican Rescue, which he published in 2021. The work is an analysis of how political cowardice, internal chaos, and conspiracy theories cost the Republican Party the 2020 elections in the House, the Senate, and the Presidency.

He urges a return to principled Republican values such as accountable leadership, strong defense, and opportunity, even as he suggests a hopeful and bold strategy to come up with a smart winning strategy for the GOP moving forward in the 21st century.

In 2024, Chris Christie published What Would Reagan Do? He examined the former President’s cross-party relationship skills, political instincts, and character, and lessons to be learned from one of America’s best presidents. He highlights critical moments in the President’s journey to his vision, human touch, leadership, and clarity.
