I started reading Brenda Chapman for research purposes. I was toying with the idea of writing fiction, but I couldn’t figure out whether I had to study creative writing and literature or if I could succeed without formal education in the field.
Chapman studied English Literature at University, so I wanted to see if I could spot the differences it made to her writing style. To this day, I still don’t know if Chapman’s talents are natural or if she learned them.
Either way, I love her prose. She has an effortless style that makes her books so relaxing to read. Her characters are well defined, and the stories have a flow to them that you rarely see in other books in this genre.
Very much enjoying the Rouleau/Stonechild series. I find it well written and very relevant in today’s world. I hope there are more books coming
