The residents, and particularly the women, do their best to ensure every veteran feels cared for and appreciated. Greene shares stories of the soldiers and volunteers, highlighting their community spirit, generosity, and kindness. He highlights how everyday people provided moments of hope and comfort in one of the most challenging times in American history.
