Everyone in Australia has heard of, read, and celebrated the wonderful writing of the extraordinary Trent Dalton.
This award-winning author of three fiction and one non-fiction titles will absolutely blow your mind.
Everything about each one of his works of literary art will move you in ways many books never will.
His debut, Boy Swallows Universe broke sales records in Australia.
All Our Shimmering Skies, his second novel, did the same, and cemented Dalton’s place at the top of the pile.
He followed these with Love Stories, a non-fiction collection of stories told to him by real people during our many Covid lockdowns, where he spent his daily exercise periods at a fold-up table by the Brisbane River asking passers-by to “Tell me a love story”. The result is extraordinary.
This weekend I finished reading his newest release, Lola in the Mirror, and describing it as beyond perfect doesn’t do it justice.
